A Deaf teen in Matamoros faces discrimination and countless obstacles in her search for a job to support her broken family.
“Te Estoy Hablando” is dedicated to join in this fight to be an agent of change for the Deaf citizens of Mexico. We created this film in partnership with the Deaf community (Con Mis Manos) of Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico to be a catalyst for the full compliance of the 2005 Federal Disabilities Equality Act. This is an urgent human rights issue affecting over 700,000 Deaf individuals in Mexico. We can no longer accept the status quo.
